At Grand Strand Baptist, every Sunday morning before the Worship Service, we have Bible Study small groups. These small groups are for every age, nursery through Senior Citizens. All Children, Students, and Adults are all on material to fit their age group. All child classes are on the same material, all Student groups are on the same material, and all Adult groups are on the same material, but each class has a different layout, depending on the age group. Below is a description of each class. |
 Director: Joann Fagerberg
The Nursery at Church, is in very high regard. We believe that the children in this class not only should be safe, but happy,
as well. Workers in the Nursery must be approved by the director and agree to a background check.
Worker's rotate weekly, there are always 3 adults in the nursery. In the Nursery the children can play
with toys, watch an educational video, sleep, and eat a snack. The Nursery is for children ages
newborn to 2 or potty trained.

This small group class is for children who are potty trained through kindergarten. In class the children have a Bible lesson, play games, sing songs, eat snacks, and make a craft in each class. The children are taught age appropriate
Bible lessons that they can relate to and understand. In this class, the children are able to make friends
and they are taught how to be a good friend. The children are able to feel comfortable in this
class because they have the same adults teaching and supervising each week,
which have submitted a background check.

The first and second grade small group class is an insightful and fun class. This class has a Bible lesson specifically designed for this age group. They have games, weekly Bible memory verses, and a snack. This group also has a craft in each class. The adult teachers are Christian mothers, who are wonderful with children, and who care about the
well being of each child, both have been background checked. This is the first small group
in the Church that teaches memory verses weekly and begins to reward
each child for memorizing Scripture; this is a tried and true method for
each child to begin to learn, study and love Jesus.

This age group, of third and fourth grade children, is a wonderful group and always a fun class. There are two teachers that have been approved by the Children's Pastor, have been background checked, and who are also experienced,
as parents. In this class the children are taught a Bible lesson, not only from a teachers book, but they read from
the Bible in each class. The children are also given a memory verse each week, to practice and learn.
In class the children are given a snack, they play a game and have a lesson. This age group not only
learns about the Bible, but they have a fun time doing so.

The fifth and sixth grade Bible study is a fun, learning, and growing experience for all of the students.
Ms. French has been teaching children's Bible study for many years, and Mr. Clark always has many fun games and activities to tie in with each lesson. Both teachers have been approved by the Children's Pastor, has been background checked. This class is a class where students not only read Bible stories, but learn from both the
Old and New Testament about life challenges, Jesus, salvation, how to share their faith,
and much more. These students go on field trips on the weekends, have fun and fellowship.
They memorize a Bible verse weekly, and are encouraged to bring friends to Bible study each week.
This is an age group that learns about many topics throughout the Bible, they are also, through the Bible,
taught life lessons that will not only help them in school, but throughout life.
 Teachers: Henry & Ginger Ward
This class is a very busy and fun filled class. The teachers have been hand picked and approved by the
Church's Children and Student Pastor, they have also been bakground checked. In this class the
students have a Bible lesson, have a snack, play a game, act out skits, and more. Each week there
is an age appropriate lesson that helps each student grow equally closer to Christ and grow into a young adult.
This class goes on retreats, goes to camp, and many trips, in the area, throughout the year.
The children memorize scripture weekly, learn life lessons, how to share their faith, and they begin to
have a close, in-depth relationship with Christ.

The College and Career Bible study class is the Bible Study Class for single, young adults.
This class is for ages 19 and up, this class is for any young adults, who are single, in college,
or beginning a new career. The class members go on retreats, go out for dinners, have game nights,
and have many fun activities. In this class students are taught about Christ, and are taught how to begin living a
Godly adult life. They are also taught how to grow closer to Jesus even though they are living busy, activ e lives.
This class helps young adults grow into Godly adults who love and serve Jesus. This class covers many
topics all throughout the Bible, and has many lessons each week that are age appropriate, specifically
geared toward the young adult age group.
 Teacher: Lois Clardy
Ladies I is the Bible Study Class for young married or single women. In this class the women are taught
Biblical principles and taught a Bible lesson weekly. The ladies do activities outside of church throughout the year.
They will meet for lunch or dinner, they have holiday parties, and more. In class, the women learn weekly
about Jesus and how to be Godly women. This class covers many topics all throughout the Bible from
which the class gains knowledge on how to have a close walk with God.
 Teacher: Libby Barnhill
Ladies II Bible Study Class is the Church's Bible class for mature-aged women. The class is designed for
women who are married, single, or widowed. This class is taught by an excellent teacher who has been
teaching for many years, and who deeply cares about every woman in her class. In class, the women
learn about Jesus, the Bible, and life lessons which will help them be Godly women. This class does many activities throughout the year such as holiday parties, movie nights, dinners, and other fun activities. In this class
the ladies not only increase their knowledge in the Bible and God, but they have life-long friends and enjoy their time together.
 Teacher: Mary Taylor
The Ladies III Bible study class is the Church's Bible Study Class for older women. This class is for the
older married, single, or widowed women in the Church. The teacher is a wonderful teacher, who has
been teaching for many years, and who cares about every person in the class. In class, the women learn a
bout God, the Bible, and they learn how to live an even closer walk with Christ. In class, these women
are taught principles and lessons each week that help them be Godly, Christian, women.
The class has many activities throughout the year: tea parties, holiday dinners, shopping trips,
movie nights, and more. This class volunteers in the Church and is involved in many ministries within the
Church. In class, these women are taught a thought-provoking lesson to extend their knowledge of Christ
which equips them to go and share that knowledge with others.
 Teacher: Eddie Story
The Men's I Bible Study Class is the Church's Bible class for young men. These men may be married, single,
or widowed. In this class the men learn about God, they learn how to share their faith, and they learn
Biblical principles. This class does many fun things throughout the year: fishing, hunting, camping,
dinners, cookouts, and more. These men have a great time with each other learning more about Christ.
In this class the men not only have a great time, but they gain a knowledge of Jesus Christ and His love for them.
They not only are learning every week, but then they go and enrich the lives of others with the knowledge
that they obtain.
 Teacher: Homer Cole
The Men's II Bible Study is the Church's Bible class for older men. In this class the men may be single,
married, or widowed. In each class the men learn about Christ and His love for each of them.
They also learn about other things in the Bible such as to live Godly, Christian lives. This class
has many fun activities throughout the year: bowling, fishing, game nights, movies, and dinners
are just a few things these men do. The men are taught Biblical principles, each week, that not
only reaffirm the fundamental knowledge that they already have, but build on it and help
them each grow spiritually as Godly, Christian men.
 Teacher: Jerry Rasberry
The Fellowship Bible Class is a Bible Study for adults, young and old. This class is designed for
all adults, they study all different topics, weekly, that help anyone and everyone in the class.
They have many fun activities throughout each month like, fish fry's, dinners, luncheons, breakfast's,
game nights, and more. This class helps each person grow closer to God no matter if they are single,
married, young, or old. The Fellowship Bible Class is a proven type of Bible Class, it is designed to
not only attract new members, but its members want to stay and grow closer to God right along with the rest
of the class. This class not only is welcoming to new members (and those who have been attending for a while),
but it is a place where you can build life-long friendships with other classmates.
This class doesn't just do things within the class, it is a class that helps each person
get involved in other activities and ministries at Church, and is a class for everyone, in which,
you are able to grow into a closer walk with God, and learn about His amazing love for you throughout the Bible.

Couples For Christ is the Bible Study specifically designed for young, married couples.
This is a class where the topics discussed and the Bible studies are directed toward marriage,
family, careers, and issues that young, married couples face. This class studies all subjects in the
Bible, as well. The group not only meets at Church, but they go out to eat, go bowling, have parties,
and other fun activities monthly. Participants learn how to share their faith with others, and
they learn how to have a Godly marriage and family. Members of the class also studies basic,
biblical principles, and they study all throughout the Bible. The class is heavily involved in
Vacation Bible School as they help volunteer and organize the event. This class participates in all
different activities and ministries at Church, and helps young married couples grow, as a couple, closer to Christ.
 Teacher: Richard Malcolm
The Homebuilders class is a Bible study class for adults, mainly married couples who have children.
This class is a family focused group. Many of the lessons our built around the family perspective, as well
as the parental perspective. Each week the group has a small breakfast in class, and has a lesson
designed for this age group and this particular stage in life. This group has many fun activities
throughout the year, which they are involved, they go to baseball games, bowling, movies,
holiday parties, and more. This class' main focus in each lesson is Jesus, but in each lesson
they discuss family, marriage, children, and other main parts of their lives.
This is a great class for married couples, and parents of pre-teenagers and teenagers.
This class teaches each person involved how to have a strong relationship with Christ,
but it also teaches them how their whole family can have that, as well.

The Joy Fellowship class is the Bible study in the Church for older adult seniors.
The class studies all throughout the Bible. This class does many fun activities throughout the year.
They go on trips around the state, have holiday parties, and have dinner and luncheons.
This class is involved in many ministries at Church like the choir, cooking, and more.
In class they study about Jesus, how to share their faith, and they grow closer to God.
This is a class for the older adult couples, who are wanting to expand their knowledge
of the Bible and Jesus Christ. In this class the students believe that there is always
something more to learn from the Bible.
 Teacher: Ron Weber
The RU Bible Study Class is for all participants of Reformers Unanimous that come for
Bible Study on Sunday mornings. This class is designed for people who have addictions
or strongholds, which they are trying to overcome. The Bible study reinforces what was taught
on the previous Friday evening, each week. In class the students are taught about Christ
and His love for them. They are also taught other fundamental Bible lessons each week.
This class helps participants overcome their strongholds and teaches the students to turn to
Christ and ways to maintain a strong relationship with Him.
